Core Capabilities
Everything you need for thoughtful follow-ups
Built for privacy, lightweight performance, and reliable email insights without monthly fees, intrusive tracking algorithms, or complicated setup.
Email image-load tracking
Detect tracking image requests when the recipient's email client permits them. Counts are estimates, not proof that a human read the email.
Link-click analytics
Track visits through specially generated links that you insert into outgoing emails, providing direct engagement metrics.
Live desktop notifications
Receive real-time notifications for recorded email events while Chrome is running. Automatic fallback polling keeps you updated.
Gmail scheduled sending
Prepare a tracked email and use Gmail's native Schedule send feature. Set the match date in the extension so early requests are ignored.
Automatic anonymous onboarding
Start using the extension immediately without registering for a Cloudflare account or managing personal API tokens.
Templates and reminders
Save reusable email templates for quick outreach and set contextual follow-up reminders directly inside Gmail.
Install SayIT Mail Tracker in Chrome
Chrome requires Developer mode for manually distributed unpacked extensions. Complete these simple steps once to start tracking emails.
Download the extension
Click the button above to download SayIT Mail Tracker v2.0 as a ZIP archive (SayIT-Mail-Tracker-v2-Chrome-Manual.zip).
Extract the ZIP
Right-click the downloaded ZIP archive and choose Extract All. Place the extracted folder in a permanent location on your PC.
Open Chrome Extensions
Open Google Chrome and navigate to chrome://extensions/ in the address bar (or Menu → Extensions → Manage Extensions).
Enable Developer mode
Switch on the Developer mode toggle located in the upper-right corner of the Extensions dashboard.
Load unpacked extension
Click the "Load unpacked" button in the top toolbar, then select the extracted directory containing manifest.json.
Open Gmail and refresh
Navigate to Gmail and reload the page (F5). The SayIT Mail Tracker toolbar and controls will appear when composing emails.
Important notice for manual distribution
SayIT Mail Tracker v2.0 is distributed directly from SayIT as an unpacked Chrome extension. Because it is distributed directly rather than through the Chrome Web Store, updates require downloading new releases manually. This manual release currently supports anonymous onboarding only; Google account syncing is not available. Users do not need a Cloudflare account or API token to use this service.

Understand what tracking can measure
Email tracking is a helpful measurement tool, but no system can guarantee 100% detection. Here is an open, honest breakdown of what our technology measures and what limitations exist:
- ✓Tracked Link Visits:When recipients click a tracked link you created, our Cloudflare edge redirect logs the visit timestamp before forwarding them.
- ✓Explicit Read Confirmations:Logged whenever a recipient intentionally clicks the interactive read-confirmation button in the email.
- ✓Image-Load Opens:Recorded whenever the recipient's mail client requests and renders remote tracking images.
- !Image Blocking & Proxies:Certain mail clients (such as Apple Mail or strict corporate firewalls) may cache, delay, or block remote images entirely.
- !Plain-Text Clicks:Clicks on non-linked, plain text cannot be recorded by any email tracking software.
- !Estimates vs Human Proof:Image requests indicate the client downloaded the image, not proof that a person read every line.
